What Many Don't Know About Birthday Party Planning
A birthday party for kids is a big deal, especially to parents. They want their kids to enjoy the party so much. Parents play a big role in the decision making for the kids’ party.

As the theme party is a big deal, the planners should make it a blast.

Theme parties are easy to set up on paper, but in reality, they’re difficult to plan. You should never forget to inform all the attendees that the party is a theme party. This means you should have a backup plan just in case someone comes in under dressed. If you’re pitching in and planning a theme birthday party for kids, here are some recommendations.

    1. Consult the Celebrant

Every guest that attends must be able to recognize the theme. Some kids may not know about an obscure cartoon character from the seventies. The theme should also be appropriate for the gender of the celebrant. A good move is to make sure the celebrant has told you about which characters he or she likes best. If the celebrant cannot speak yet, it’s better to ask his or her parents.

If no particular cartoon is mentioned, you can simply choose themes according to colors. Blue for boys, and pink for girls.

    2. Synchronize the Favors With the Theme

A party favor is a must for every kid that attends a party. At the very least, a small token of appreciation in the color or style of the theme should be given to every guest at the end of the party. Boys should be able to receive a favor too, even if the party is girl-themed. This can be tricky because boys will surely not appreciate a magic wand or a tiara. For instance, in a princess party, the boys can receive laurel leaves instead of tiara, and shields instead of wands. A manly crown is also in order if you want to stick with the princess theme.

    3. Finalize the Food Menu

The party should never lack sustenance in any way. Any party needs good food to work. Grown ups should not feel left out in terms of the prepared menu. One option is to serve grilled food. Hot dogs can be grilled for the kids, while the parents can enjoy sirloin steaks. You can also serve pies, salads and corn on the cob. Someone can be in charge of distributing drinks.

Are You Making Best Use Of What You Know Concerning Birthday Party Planning?
The basics of party planning are enough to create a memorable kids' birthday party. Select a good theme for the decor, make sure the guests attend and serve the best food.

    Send the Invitations

First, you have to know that the party preparations start rolling when you send out the invitations. Invitation time is also planning time for tables and chairs. Every guest on the list should have a seat. Prepare for when people bring along other guests. Just in case, add a few extra chairs.

Invitation sending will make sure you have people to serve. Guests are important to any party. Make sure you schedule the party well so that most of the people you invited can attend. Inform all the guests on the list about changes in venue and schedule.

    Decorations

Use decorations that kids can relate with. Know which cartoon characters are popular right now. Something current will do the trick. If you would rather not use cartoon characters, you can stick with the conventional themes like princess, under the sea and cowboy ranch.

    Food for Serving

The menu should be in keeping with the overall theme of the party. Kids should be able to eat all the food you prepare. Sushi and too-spicy foodstuffs are out. The basics like chicken and fries are great, but they should be served nicely. Kids love spaghetti but they tend to get messy, so better stick with food that won’t stain much. The drinks can be served as a Kool-aid station. You should also provide a place for grown-ups. Consider the time of the day for serving food when you plan your menu. A big meal should have carbo, proteins and sweets. You are better off serving snacks. Dessert items are great to accompany a meal but they should not be all that you serve. Ice cream in particular should not sit on the table melting.
